The Founder & Executive Director

Korey “XROSS” Dean Sr. is the founder and executive director of The Man Up Club. Korey Dean, Sr., earned his Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Youth Studies (dual major) from the University of Minnesota/Twin Cities. Mr. Dean, aka XROSS, is a committed and respected leader in the Twin Cities community. He has credible relationships among millennials and has the pulse of the youth. He is also a national hip-hop recording artist.  Dean and the Man Up Club helped lead the peaceful March in Minneapolis of 15,000 youth in honor of, and for justice for, George Floyd, and gave the keynote speech and prayer on the Hennepin Bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 

​Mr. Dean has dedicated his life to bringing hope, healing, and opportunity to young people everywhere, especially young men in urban communities. Mr. Dean founded The Man Up Club as a response to the overwhelming need for leadership and mentorship in the lives of young African-American males and the culture around them.
